Medical and Vision Insurance
Acuity Eyecare is happy to provide care for both your eye health and your visual system. Insurances require that routine or wellness exams be billed to vision plans, and any medical eye care or testing will be billed to your medical/health insurance plan. We are on many medical insurance panels (such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, United, etc), as well as vision discount plans (Eyemed, VSP, Superior, etc) to make this comprehensive care possible. We inform our patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment. If you have any other questions about your insurance, please let us know.
Please keep in mind that some insurances go by different names so if you don't see your insurance listed above, please give us a call to see if we are providers for your insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
Other Payment Options
We that cost is a concern in this current healthcare environment we live in. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept various forms of payment and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination. At Acuity Eyecare, we also accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
